School Visits!
One of my biggest joys in life is connecting with readers all over the world. I love visiting schools (virtual & in-person) to discuss my book making process, how to come up with ideas, and embracing mistakes as our catalyst for next steps.
As a former puppeteer and teacher, I am wildly passionate about presenting and performing for students K-12. I have toured one-woman shows all over the world, and also created an afterschool arts program for students K-5 which helped deepen my understanding of keeping students highly entertained, inspired, and ready to dive into their next projects with a can-do attitude.
Leading up to the event, I am happy to work closely with librarians and educators to incorporate the topics you’d like to cover.
My visits (virtual or in-person) generally focus on:
Performance with puppets & reading of my books
Interactive drawing demonstration with art activity
Sharing my writing and illustration process
